when i prayed

it's like everything is finally under control -- i've trusted God to get me through it. i totally relied on Him, surrendered it all. He didn't let me down; all His promise's were real.

but now here i am. life's rolling along quite nicely, thankyou -- and then one day, i stop.

when was the last time i prayed?

pray changes things. when Jesus was stuck, what'd He do? He prayed. To God. His Daddy.

if you're like me, you talk to God.
but i think that's only part of it.
ya see, we're speaking -- but how can we hear if we're not listening?
we, as humans, have a tendency to over-complicate things.

God is listening. God hears you.
And God speaks to you, too.
It's come to the days that I'm not quickly trying to finish my God-time so that I can go on the computer. No -- now it's to do anything else. Why? I don't know. There is nothing in the entire world that can top time with God.

What is it that pulls me away from devoting every part of my life to Him?
It's not God, that's for sure.
Because He wants nothing than for me, for you -- to be right with Him.

Next time I feel compelled to end my God-time (devotions? quiet time? God-time's good.) I'm going to pray. I'm going to ask God to give me a desire to stay. Right here. With Him.

Yeah, that's what I'll do.

  1. Beautiful post. I love how down to earth you are. Pray. Yes, that's what I'll do to. Because He is so faithful.

  2. I want a better relationship with God. And like you said, it's one thing to speak, but another thing to listen too. I need to listen more, hear out what God wants to say to me. Great post Emii! :)
